Frequently Asked Questions

How do I order a photo shoot?

We take all orders online. You can instantly lock in an appointment from all available times: Order Photo Shoot

How far in advance do I need to order?

2 to 3 days in advance is generally enough notice, and we often have availability the very next day.

When do I get the photos?

Photos are always delivered the very next day of the shoot. If the photo shoot is on a Monday, the photos will be delivered on Tuesday. For a Friday shoot, photos are delivered Saturday.

How many photos do I get?

The typical property is 25-35 photos. We capture all the features of the property, so the actual number varies. Larger properties will have more photos than smaller properties.

How are the photos delivered?

The photos are sent as links by email. The links include:

  1. Highres photos as a zip file link.
  2. MLS-sized photos as a zip file link.
  3. A proof sheet link, with thumbnails of all the photos, and links to individual photos in the various resolutions.
  4. A branded virtual tour link which has the photos displayed as a moving slideshow with music and your contact information.
  5. An unbranded virtual tour link, used for linking on the MLS.
  6. An edit virtual tour link, which allows you to reorder or hide photos on the virtual tour and to update the contact information.

How long does a shoot take?

A typical shoot takes just 30-45 minutes on site. We spend a number of hours processing the photos afterwards to make them amazing.

What is the best time of day for shooting my property?

The short answer is we make the home look great no matter what the light is. Many clients want the sun hitting the front of the house to create the best possible front exterior. This means if the house faces east, morning is best, and if the house faces west, afternoon is best. If ocean views are important, we recommend morning so that we aren't shooting into the sun to capture these views.

Can I reschedule after ordering?

Yes, rescheduling with at least one day notice has no charge. Rescheduling is done through your online account page. Same-day rescheduling or cancelling has an automatic $50 charge for daytime photo shoots and $100 for twilight photo shoots.

What is a twilight photo shoot?

Twilight photo shoots are recommended when the most dramatic photos are required. For twilight photo shoots we start shooting 30 minutes before sunset and we shoot the exterior photos twice, once before sunset for daytime shots, then we shoot the interior, and then we shoot in the exterior again after sundown for jaw-dropping night photos with a deep blue sky. Example twilight shoot.

How do I open zip files?

Most computers now have zip file support built in. First locate the file that was downloaded, often on the Desktop or in a Downloads folder. Some computers automatically extract the zip file contents. If not, right click on the zip file and select extract files, or decompress, or similar. If you are still having troubles with a zip file, you may find it easier to select the photos individually from the proof sheet. We can also email them as an attachment.

What is the cancellation policy?

Full refund if cancelling with more than one day notice. $50 charge for same-day cancellation for daytime photo shoots, $100 for twilight photo shoots.

What if it is cloudy?

If the sky is overcast we will photoshop it blue. Here is an example of what this will look like: sky_before_and_after.jpg
